Hello Professor Gumm,

I noticed that the url you posted is incorrect,
http://www.mathematik.uni-marburg.de/~gumm/LyX/xypic.pdf
you left out the xypic directory in the url.
http://www.mathematik.uni-marburg.de/~gumm/LyX/xypic/xypic.pdf

Also I noticed that in LyX1.4.0pre3 compiled with Mingw for 
Windows, that there are error messages and no apparent conversion
with Instant preview while converting to .dvi gives error messages.
