Those versions/timestamps data appear good for me, but what I meant is
to include them or eventually some equivalent INSIDE the document
itself, in order to have access to this information directly when the
file is oppened in LyX.

I'm currently looking at what is done on CTAN rcs and rcsinfo package.
(CTAN/macros/latex/contrib/supported/rcs and
CTAN/macros/latex/contrib/supported/rcsinfo)

According to me, it would be really great to have a full support of
document versionning, with change bars, document version display, and
version history inclusion in order to match ISO9000 requirements, to
address ISO certicied companies.

(I saw also the changebar module in CTAN :
CTAN/macros/latex/contrib/supported/changebar)

But for now, since LyX support RCS, I *think* it is sufficient to only
add relevant keyword in the document comments to catch rcs information
during checkin.

I'll have some testing and tell you about them.
