Mike Ressler more-or-less encouraged me to join up, and told me what
the current hot-button issue is right now....
(IMO)
The intro should either introduce one to LyX, or to the LyX manuals.
Since the Tutorial is pretty good, if it were up to me I'd put the
intro in the Tutorial & let the "intro" document have the briefest
description of LyX itself but describe what else is in the Help menu.
So, my macro-level suggestions:
- Ditch everything up to section 3 (The Manuals). The conventions
aren't used enough (or at all) to justify repeating them in the
Intro otherwise.
- Add a "how to print these manuals" section. The manuals *do* work
well in print & at least some will prefer it.
As far as the "Danger Danger" thing goes, I'm OK either way. It looks
a bit overdone, but the "Will Robinson" part indicates that it's not
really serious....
