Hello,

I notice that the simple pdfview.cmd script
appears to be missing from

http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/LyXWinTips

and I don't know if this was intentional and
prior to the Wiki version change or afterwards
and perhaps accidental. I found pdfview.cmd useful in testing which pdf viewer was actually operating, not just a bigger screen.

START /max Acrobat.exe %1
   exit

My perspective is that of a technical user, not a developer.
I think level of technical literacy is going to drop towards
the Windows user standard. Once, a person needed a bit
of competency to install Linux. Now the influx of new users
will gravitate towards Mepis, FC4, Mandriva etc. and LyX
and away from Solaris, Slackware and Emacs. I'm in favor
of keeping it simple and keeping simple things like scripts
which educate about options. Pdfview.cmd was in the section
LyXWinTips, so appropiately reflected the reading audience.

Documentation to software is like accounting to business,
Stephen
