Dear Uwe Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I did realise there are options to change the highlighting of the links but decided to keep the default because readers might not have been aware they were there if I had used any of the other options.
You are right about the captions. I had not paid proper attention to this. Fortunately the only book I have typeset did not have any figures or tables!
