This works for me here. In both modes the character is inserted
where the cursor currently is. Is the RTL support activated? Have
you restarted LyX after you changed the cursor mode?
Yes & yes - I double-checked that. Still having the problem that the
curser is running away from the Arabic text to the right - the more to
right the longer the Arabic text. This does not happen in the English
mode: The curser is expectedly next to the letter which was last
entered.
Q: In the key bord prefs I configured Arabic as first, German as
second keybord table. I cannot delete the field filled with "German".
After deleting and saving the prefs, it still pops up in the prefs.
How can I delete that? ... I am not sure whether this interferes my
problem or not.
