I see your point and had a further look at the section you mentioned. I think that one would only make it complicated to explain ho switching between documents work. I mean every program I known has either tabs or you can switch between documents via its Document or View menu. I also taught at the University and my experience is that users don't want to be treated like "small kids". The line between too much and not enough information is thin, I know. I think we should assume that an average user knows some basics. For this particular issue the user will open the example_brut.lyx and not closing LyX or the Tutorial. So he should end up automatically with the 2 documents open and can switch between them like in every other program.

If you have further annotations, please tell us and/or our French translator (because some documentation issues might only be in the French version) and we will try to implement/correct the things.
