Dear Scott,

thank you for referring me to this Spanish language document on using Xypic inside LyX.

I am a bit unsure how to react - the introductory chapters of the manual read like a pretty faithful translation of my manual into Spanish - even including figures, such as the colored screenshot of the German language version of LyX, which is taken right from my manual, just as further examples of figures are. Even the rough structuring of the article exhibits striking similarities.

A few XY-features are indeed mentioned that I left out from my manual. But there are so many more which might be mentioned. My intention, however, had not been, writing another XY-Pic manual, but rather a tutorial how to use XY-Pic from inside LyX. So clearly, I did not intend to be complete as far as Xy-Pic by itself is concerned, but I am open to possible additions.

What really amazes me about that paper by Mr. Rodrìguez Redondo though, is that my manual is not mentioned once in his article - neither in the text nor in its references. Isn't that odd? If one of my students would present something like that to me, I would accuse him of plagiarism.

Who is this author? What is his intention? I am afraid, that before knowing this, I think it is best for me to ignore this document for the time being.

Best regards, Your
H.Peter

Dear Peter,

A LyX user has contributed a LyX document on XY-pic. It is attached.
Are you interested in updating your manual to take into account any of
the additional parts that his example touches on? I attach the PDF. We
have the LyX source as well, if you are interested.

Thanks your XY-pic manual. It has been very useful to users.

Best,

Scott
