I hope this is the correct email address to make suggestions for the documentation. I downloaded the examples on http://wiki.lyx.org/BibTeX/BiblatexStyles and found they confused me (trying to get BibLaTeX-biber working with classicthesis.sty, which I have now managed). The issues are covered in http://wiki.lyx.org/BibTeX/Biblatex, but I did not expect the example files to contain them as 'errors'.
May I suggest the following is added to the Note: above the examples and maybe emphasise as Mandatory Note: because I missed it somehow, extending the debugging permutations. 1: The language encoding in the example files is set to Unicode (ucs-extended)(utf8x) not utf8 so it gives error incompatible package 'ucs' error upon typesetting. Set language to utf8. 2: The example files leave the bibliography processor as "Default" and it did not generate a bibliography without biber, instead only printed the bibtexkey in the intext link. Set bibliography processor to biber. I am running LyX2.1.2-MiKTeX on Win7 Enterprise, but believe the above are controlled by the LyX file and my comments are general.
