# ln -s libc.so.6 libc.so.5 # or was it other way round? I keep

me. reboot would also help since ldconfig is done at startup, but that

As for initlevel, I had no trouble, as well as no idea why would such
a thing happen. Say, if the substituted libc 6 works as libc 5, should
the problem not disappear? I am not sure, of course, just taking a best
guess.
