Hi,
the "great toolkit switch" has been mentioned recently on the list... I
just wanted to ask if JX (http://www.cco.caltech.edu/~jafl/jx/jx2.html)
has been considered. It looks very nice and has a lot of builtin
functionality. One problem is the license, that is not fully open source.
But the author says it will "evolve towards open source", maybe the
adoption from a big project such as Lyx will have him take the last step.
One good point with JX is also that it implements drag'n'drop according to
the XDND protocol, which is also supported by both Qt and GNOME.
Of course, the choice rests with the developers! Mortal users can only beg
to their gods, with faith in their right decisions :-)
All the best,
Stefano
