Hi all,

is there some document on German spellchecking?

If not, how would one accomplish such a thing? The problem are 'of
course' the special characters. My ispell dictionary contains the
letter a-umlaut as "a whereas the LyX-document contains it as 'real'
a-umlaut.

So ispell does not find the words. Another (or the same) problem: ispell
complains about the allegedly 'illegal' characters.

I found this item 'Extra special chars allowed in words' in the
spellchecker options menu. But I cannot enter any special character
there since I usually get them via some dead key sequence in 'ordinary
LyX' and those simply do not work in the menus.

Does anybody think I would be done if I managed to insert my special
characters there? And if so how could I do this?
Are the spellchecker options saved somewhere in the .lyx file?

Andre'
