Hello:

Does Lyx support features similar to what are called style sheets and
templates in word processors?

I write screen plays and the format of a screen play requires that
paragraphs have particular character formats, that text be located at specific
positions within a line, that particular paragraph types be blocked together.
For example:

A Character Name, a Parenthetical Remark and the beginning of
Dialogue for that Character Name must form block of text that can not be broken
across page breaks and if dilogue must be broken, it must be indicated by
"(MORE)" at the bottom of the originating page of Dialogue. There are other
requirements as to format that are similarly exact. I have used styles and
templates with wordprocessors to achieve the desired format.

Can I do these things in Lyx by defining a style or textclass or must this be
programmed in LaTeX/TeX?

Thanks,

Colby
