The NT port of LyX (http://www.cs.uu.nl/~stevens/personal/lyx/lyx.html)
seems a good solution for a laptop. It works handily on
Samba-exported files from our Solaris server or on local files on the
laptop, and spares me from having to learn or use an ms-windows
word-processor.

What I've not been able to get working in NT LyX is inline viewing of
illustrations or other .eps material (the X-server-capable NT
ghostscript port listed on the LyX-NT WWW page is a `not found' URL),
and ispell. I have ispell-4.0 installed on the laptop, and it works
fine with emacs-19.34.6. When I try the same version of ispell in
LyX, I get the LyX ispell popup, but the percentage-completed line
immediately goes to 100% without stopping at unknown or misspelled
words.

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has gotten inline viewing of
.eps files and ispell working on NT LyX. Thanks,
