To this point:
You can use the bibtex-style "alpha" instead of "plain". This produces
references like [AuthorYear] as you want. Choose Insert->Lists&TOC->BibTeX
Reference. Then click on the generated BibteX-Box and choose you BibTeX-file
and style "alpha".
