Hello again,

most of the questions and issues I had in my last mail about layout problems are
resolved now (or at least I now have an idea HOW to solve them).
Unfortunately, there has been another problem cropping up in the meantime:

I was mildly shocked when I checked the layout on a printed version of my
thesis, and had a closer look on the footnotes:
Some footnotes do NOT appear on the page they belong to (but isntead on the
next one), and some are even "torn apart" between pages (although not very
long)!
Goodness... I used to something like this with MS Word, but not with
Lyx/Latex...! Isnt this something never should happen with Latex?

Anyway, Maybe in the end its my fault... Is there anything that could be done
"wrong" concerning my footnotes?

Another thing thats a bit annoying is the way the entries in my glossary
(using the list environment) are handled: Some of them are broken apart, i.e.
when an entry is to long to fit on the bottom of a page, it is continued on the
next one. How can I prevent this? Id rather want every glossary entry to be
completely on one page, i.e. if it doesnt fit completely, it should begin on
the next page.
Of course I could check on which entries this happens and manually insert a page break
before them. But this is quite unsatisfactory, considering the fact the length
of some entries might change slightly, thereby breaking the layout again.

Any advice on how to remedy the two problems above is appreciated.

TIA,

Regards,
Manuel
