Hi,

I've been able to successfully compile and install LyX 1.03 on my Linux box
running Mandrake 6.0. However, when I try to execute lyx, I get the
following error messages at the command line:

LyXTestClass::Read: no text class found!
LyXSetStyle: an error occurred during parsing.

A pop up box with the following message appears as well:

Check the contents of textclass.lst

I have done the latter, and textclass.lst turns out to be empty, except for
some commenting. I've tried rerunning the configure script and make
install, to no avail.

Has anyone had this kind of difficulty, or has ideas on what I might do to
work around this problem. I take it that this textclass.lst file needs to
have content in it. But how does it get this content?

Thanks in advance,
Albert
