Sorry you got no feedback about your enquiry. It happens that our
local SGML guru (Jose' Matos) is not around currently, and he is
the one who knows best about this stuff. Concerning the addition of
new tags, I think it is easy (in the latex textclass file), provided
you do not want too much nesting... Importing sgml files was possible
with linuxdoc (which had a sgml2lyx script) but not anymore for docbook.
