Hi everybody, I have a question regarding the cross-referencing in LyX: I have been using LyX for quite a while. I love it and currently I write a long multi-chapter document including many, many cross references. I keep those chapters in separate documents. In order to insert the cross references from other chapters I find myself 1) switching from one document to the other 2) scrolling through the document to find the desired equation and to read the name of the label. 3) open the cross reference window (ALT i -r) 4) and then to scroll throug that long list of labels (which is no fun as I have to _read_ the labels 5) switch back to my original chapter and insert the reference. In an ideal world, I wished I could double-click the equation label and then having e.g. coming up the cross-reference label _with the ``cursor'' at the right position. In an not so ideal but still good world, the cross-reference window has an input filed where I can type the name of my label. That would still be quicker than a long scroll. (I use Lyx 1.00, but I haven't read anywhere that a newer versions have the desired feature.) Here my question to those, and there must be some, who also produce texts with many cross-references. Am I missing some better way to input cross-references ?
