Consider using the LaTeX-command \cite to overcome your problem! Put this
command in a TeX-Environment and you can use as many blanks as needed to
separate your reference-Ids, this causing Lyx to break them at the end of
the Line:
Press the TeX-button in the toolbar and type (this has to be shown in red
color!):
\cite{referenceI-Id, referenceII-Id, ...}
