Well, seeing as I can't seem to unsubscribe my home address from the
list, I may as well use it...
I'm trying to use LyX for a book - novel-type thingy. At the moment I'm
using the "book" class, and B5 paper just for playing around
(procrastinating from writing). the output looks very nice, but some
questions:
Papersize: If I select a different paper size from the default, all is
fine in dvi preview, but if I convert to Postscript or PDF (either
export as TeX or export as PS and use pdflatex, pslatex, ps2pdf), the
Postscript and PDF both end up with the stuff formatted as if for the
new papersize, but on an A4 page. How do I fix this?
Document layout: It would be nice to be able to switch a document
readily between finished-book format and manuscript format suitable for
submission to publishers (ie: A4 double-spaced courier, no indents etc.)
Is there a way of doing this? (That doesn't involve me learning all of
TeX? :-) Would be nice if there was just a "manuscript" class matching
"book" in the styles it has but which formats it appropriately. Is there
one?
Actually, is there some repository somewhere of extra LyX classes that
can be added to the set you get with LyX itself?
Oh, and I see I have to give chapters names, by the looks of it. Can't
just have "Chapter 1" etc...
