Linux binary segmentation fault

I installed Kayvan Sylvan's lyx 1.1.5 Linux binary on my Slackware 7.0 
system, and i get a segmentation fault whenever I have netscape running. 
In other words if I start up netscape first and then start up lyx I get a 
segmentation fault. If I start the programs up in the reverse order there
is no problem. 

What might be the reason for this?
