overfull \hbox

Hi!

My document does contain so much overfull \hboxes and I don't know, how to
fix that. The normal way is to insert that special character "-" as a hint
for hyphenation (the german "Sollbruchstelle"), but LaTeX doesn't care in
most of the cases.
This behavior looks very ugly, especially in he bibliography. Any hints?
