This should be:
# \DeclareLaTeXClass{article (foo)}
or perhaps
# \DeclareLaTeXClass[foo]{article (foo)}

LyX didn't find it. Try again with the above instead.

I'm not sure of how it's called within LyX but it should probably be 755.
