There are no patches required for lyx. Before running "configure",
fink sets the following environment variables,
setenv CPPFLAGS -traditional-cpp
setenv CXX c++
It also updates config.guess and config.sub so that the darwin os is
recognized as a valid architecture. You could probably get away with just
passing "--host=powerpc-apple-bsd" to configure without updating these
files.
Patches are necessary to get tetex to compile (the are at
http://www.cdc.noaa.gov/~jsw/fink).
I did have to patch xforms to port it to MacOSX, but the source is not
available for that anyway - the fink package downloads and installs the
binary.
