No problem at all. It is just that I've seen so many problems of "oh I
didn't realize this preamble command I copied from the internet a year
ago and forgot what it does, causes problems". Also, I've seen problems
where if you use e.g. two titles the second title does not appear. So my
personal approach is to just wait until a minimal example.
As for the actual problem, if you add "\usepackage{abstract}" to the
LaTeX preamble, does the output look like you want? You might want to
look at further options in that package's documentation. I don't
actually know anything about it.
My guess is that the document class you use just does not typeset the
abstract in the way that e.g. article does. I wonder if we should modify
the LyX layout to not show "Abstract", e.g. what we do with "title". I
don't know anything about this document class so hopefully someone else
knows whether this is expected.
