I think that we have a bug where the documents are shown in the
language of the OS environment, not the language chosen inside LyX. I
have been too lazy to investigate this until now. I'll take a look.
However, this would not explain why your help documents show in
English. There is no reason for beamer to be different.

most help documents are in German, in spite of my English Language
settings in tools and Document, except the following, which are in English:
Lyx function
Latex config
colored boxes
Knitr
Lillypond
paralist
Chem hazards
Sweave
xy-pic
