Eberhard, We'll agree to disagree. I fully understand what you've written and have neither need nor desire to futz any more with reference styles. Documents I prepare are for clients, regulatory agencies, or in support of litigation. No one who reads them cares about bibliographic format. I suspect that no one looks for and reads any of the references. Using a format that is in the category of "good enough" is sufficient. Thanks for sharing your efforts and results. Regards, Rich
