Is is also possible to copy config.pdf into ~/.dvipsrc, and then
dvips will always use the PDF options.
As noted by Andre Berger, you should remove the G option from the config
file. In it is enough to put in ~/.dvipsrc only the following lines:
p +bsr.map
p +bsr-interpolated.map
p +hoekwater.map
