There's room on the dialog box to prompt "To change the value in the
Alignment and Width fields, you *MUST* press Enter while still in the field."
That would solve the problem for all but the most fastidious of users. The 10
minutes it takes to place that prompt would spare hours of explaining on list.
By the way, it would be nice if fields requiring units have a little prompt
saying so. Once again, that would save many queries to the list.
