For a permanent fix, choose one of the following methods: 1. Edit the file TEXMF/dvips/config/config.ps. Find a line containing only the letter G (or only G1), and remove it (or comment it out by putting % before the G). 2. Add a line to ~/.dvipsrc containing 'G 0' (or maybe 'G0') (I'm not sure that this will work) 3. (for lyx-1.1.6) Open the dialog preferences in lyx. Go to converter->converter tab, select the dvi->ps converter and change the converter to 'dvips -G0 -o $$o $$i'. Furthermore, goto the output->printer tab, and enter -G0 in the 'extra options' field.
