Tim,
Nodeps works only when a necessary library is present but not registered
wtih the rpm database.
When you say you cannot rebuild from the src.rpm, where does the error
occur and what is it? There are two approaches to be used:
1) 'rpm --rebuild <name>.src.rpm' and
2) 'rpm -ivh <name>.src.rpm, followed by cd to /SPECS where you can check
the spec file and fix it, then run (from that directory) 'rpm -ba
<name>.spec'.
