Looks to me that the problem is in your system, not the src.rpm. I run RH
6.2, too, so I'll try to make the time to grab the package and see if it
builds here.

Strange as it may seem, sometimes something gets stuck in memory and
applications that worked flawlessly now either won't run or bomb in some
other way. I had this a couple of months ago -- I forget the details now --
but, ... rebooting the system cleared up the problem! This was only about
the second time in five years I needed to go this route, and it didn't occur
to me because that's a Microsoft solution, not a linux solution. But it
worked.
May be worth trying on your problem.
