I am having trouble with Lyx not finding installed bibtex files. I have defined the environment variable TEXMF=/usr/share/texmf and run texhash as superuser and the output from that in ls-R seems to make sense. But when I run View->Tex Information there is none reported. Rescanning produces nothing and lyx will only use .bst and .bib files that are located in the working directory. My setup is lyx 1.2.0 on Mandrake 8.2 (kde3.0.1).
