A typo. > if it is only a typo, then do the following: > - copy the lyx-doc (save as) > - delete beginning from the end a paragraph > - run dvi-view > - if the error is still there repeat the last > two steps. Thanks. I'll keep this around for future reference. As it was, I was continually fiddling with it while awaiting a response. I (re)started Lyx from the command line and tried to render the preview and read the output in the CLI. It turned out that the problem was an incomplete reference/citation a paragraph above the location of the error boxes. I fixed the reference entry in my database and it rendered OK. praedor - -- Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor...the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded with patriotism, will offer up all their rights unto the leader and gladly so. --unknown -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE9rsyK1i/6R1B/Yh0RAgn+AJ46i/IatCXNldBNpx0zrRPqyuhJBwCfQH6g wUR6kcqDL4FHPaIHwMBTCDc= =B9lF -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
