Well... LyX has been used for (and is still beeing used?) literal
programming, which is just what you seem to want.
| A filter could generate proper *.c or *.java files from the appropriate
| blocks in the documentation. And source code would be as beatiful as
| documents created with LyX.
A better code environment would be needed.
