no keyboard action in Find and Replace

Hi!
In (RH8 + lyx 1.2.1 + Hungarian keyboard) I have the following problem: I start lyx with "env LANG=C" as it is suggested. But still, while all Hungarian characters (I mean \H u and \H o) work well in the main text window, I cannot type them into the Find and Replace window. It is possible to put them there by Copy-Paste, and then the Find/Replace program works normally. But when I am entering them from the keyboard, there is no action at all.
No similar problem in (United Linux + lyx 1.2.1 + Hungarian keyboard)!
My questions:
1) How to solve this problem?
2) Why is there any difference between the behaviors of the main edit-text window and the Find/Replace window?
