Figure number in section heading

I am using book layout, and in the Appendices I would like to have a section called "Description of Figure 6.9" (for example), where Figure 6.9 is one of the figures in the document.

Adding the reference in the section name is not a problem, but at the top of the page, where LyX places the current section number and name, it reads: "A.2. Description of Figure ??".

How can I get it to recognise the reference to the figure?
