Allright, it installed fine and as far as I can see everything works as it should. Also, LyX 1.2.1 still works, even though I've replaced XForms. I installed the rpm of XForms and compiled LyX. Thank you all for your help!

ldd lyx-1.2.3 does give output, but I don't know how to put it in an e-mail message. I use Netscape7 for e-mail. Is there a way I can write the output to a text file that I can send to you?
