Are you sure that you upgraded your xforms-lib to xforms-1.0-i18n_4 ? With this xforms-lib, I have a nice little preedit window just below the input point(see the attached screenshot). The 'Root' input style is for western 1-byte input server. For multi-byte input server, 'over-the-spot', 'off-the-spot' and 'on-the-spot' input style must be adopted. So, be sure again whether your xforms-lib is properly installed. cghan
