You will not be able to delete the temp dir if it contains any files. LyX will attempt to delete such temporary files, but will fail if they are flagged as open by Windows. I have read on this list that this can happen if the temp file is opened by another app, eg a dvi viewer. Apparently this is a limitation of the Windows OS, but I'm totally clueless about such things... Anyway, no harm will come if you delete the temprary directories by hand every now and then. After all, that's why they're called temporary ;-) Angus
