This solution might be overkill, but you can use 'makebst' to get a "custom" bibtex-style. It's not fully custom, but you do have loads of options. I've only played with it once, but it was relatively easy to use...
Great. I ran "latex makebst" (for MikTex) and got my references to look the way they should. Just answer the questions about the format and then one gets the desired .bst file.
