Importing LaTeX files does not work with the current implementation of LyX on Aqua. Until the problem is fixed in a new release, here's a workaround. In a terminal, do:
% [ -d /usr/local/share/lyx ] || sudo mkdir /usr/local/share/lyx % sudo cp -pR /Applications/LyX.app/Contents/Resources/LyX/reLyX /usr/local/share/lyx % sudo cp -pR /Applications/LyX.app/Contents/Resources/LyX/layouts /usr/local/share/lyx Sorry for the inconvenience.
