Hello Lyxers.

I am a big newbie with linux and lyx, but I almost moved completely from word-like software to LYX. I have a problem though. I run Linux RH8, with GNOME and LYX 1.3.1. I need to write in two languages (spanish and english), so I use the US-International keymap. This map silences the ' key, so when you press it in combination with any vowel, you get the accented vowels: . I can use this accented vowels in all the programs I run win GNOME with the exception of LYX. Lyx shows them as follows: (hope you can all see this).

I have read all the manuals but I cannot find a way of changing this. I know it has something to do with xmodmap, I've played with it but I can't figure it out. If anybody has an easy way of helping me, I really apreciate it, for I need to be able to switch back and forth from english to spanish.

Thank you very much

eric
