Your .lyx-file works just fine for me (after creating a faked .bib-file,
i.e. references.bib)
Do you see any references at all, i.e. do you see:
test [1]
when you look at the PDF-file? Looking at the DVI-file?
If you look at View->Latex_Logfile, do you see any error messages?
