You will probably find that if you click
on the LyX mini-buffer, you can enter the characters there. You could
copy them to the LyX buffer, but this is a poor substitute for the
preferable behavior in MacOS-10.2.
That works, but indeed is a poor substitute ...
I haven't tried LyX-1.3.3 for a while (I've been working on 1.3.4cvs),
but as far as I know it includes the GUIs for other languages and
should display in the default language of the system.
No - at least not on my computer, but that's okay with me.
Do you, or someone else, know, whether things work better, when lyx is installed via fink and runs under x11 (on Mac OS 10.3.2 that is)? Then maybe I should try that.
