If the spaces are in the directory portions of the path (for instance, ...\My Documents\...), as opposed to the file names themselves, another possibility is to create a shortcut (link). I've had mixed luck escaping the spaces (for instance, /My\ Documents/file\ name\ with\ spaces.lyx), but that seems to work with some helper applications and not others. Other than 8.3 names, the best bet is just to (a) put both LyX and your document directories on paths with no spaces and (b) remove any spaces from the file names. -- Paul ************************************************************************* Paul A.
