which I would like to post again since it was not answered: I wonder whether there could be something like an archive for a lyx file and the additional stuff for it (such as figures, bibliography). It would help to keep things neatly together without bothering about pathes. So if I have finished work with a lyx file and all its figures I would evoke in Lyx: export to archive. Next time I want to work with it after perhaps having moved it to another place or even another machine I would ask LyX to open the archive and, voila, no problems anymore with pathes. I might underestimate the work involved, but perhaps there is already some workaround on this line? Wolfgang
