I have just installed Lyx 1.3.4 on an RH9 system and all is fine ... except that math symbols do not appear in the maths boxes.
For example, I type
\theta
into the maths box and what I get, in red text, is just
theta
Everything compiles OK and shows correctly in gv - so what is missing?
