Not really any solution. However a couple of questions. :) Is this the qt or xform version of LyX? If it is Qt have you tried to change the colors with qtconfig ? You could try to recompile LyX with the other GUI frontend and see if that helps. i could sugest to try KDE but PII 300 migh be a trifle to slow. 73 Ingar
